In an effort to increase the tetraploid gene pool in my garden, I sought out and planted the Burpee Big Tetra Zinnias (Z. violacea). I have enjoyed the vast color variations in the Giant State Fair Zinnias I have grown in the past, and wanted to add some different flower forms to the mix……hence the Big Tetras. Here is a gallery of the 30 plants I have growing this 2010 season. They are simply in order as they grow in the row, complete with the few that have not opened fully yet…!
